  • Robyn Karlsen - Secretary
  • Russel Clowes - Treasurer
  • Angela Potts - Junior Convenor
Andrew Ferguson

Andrew played Juniors from the age of 7 (1966) to 17 and played 435 Senior games with Waverley.  In this time he played in 5 Division 1 premiership teams, including Waverley’s first Division 1 premiership.

He played several games with the Waverley Reds in the inaugural season of the ABL in 1989.

He was Secretary on the Board at Waverley from 1983 through 1986.

He has two sons, neither of whom played baseball unfortunately.  He has higher hopes for his two grandchildren born in 2022 and 2024.

He worked at Fenwick Software designing and building IT systems for SMEs for 38 years after graduating from Monash University.  He retired in September 2019.  Since retiring, Andrew fills in his days volunteering at Melbourne Zoo, conducting guided tours at the MCG, and helping out around Waverley Baseball Club.

Robyn has been involved with WBC for 35 years.  Robyn served on the Junior Committee for ten years before joining the Board in 2000.  Robyn served as Secretary from 2000 to 2012 and was awarded Life Membership in 2005.

Robyn was a founding member of the Winter section actively lobbying the Board to commence the program, which started as juniors only in 1996.

Robyn is an active scorer for the Club in juniors and seniors as well as scoring for the Melbourne Aces in the ABL.  Robyn achieved her Level 4IT in 2006 and achieved her WBSC scoring accreditation in San Jose in 2019.  Robyn was a Council of Australian Baseball (CABS) Technical Commissioner from 2009 to 2015.

Robyn’s sons Grant and Daniel both grew up playing for Waverley.  Her husband Bede is also heavily involved in the Club and Grant & grandson Tanner are both current players.

Russell is a CPA and the owner of KnowledgEquity, a training and consulting business specialising in accounting and business management. Russell has played a number of sports, including football, athletics and triathlon and was previously a board member of Athletics Victoria. Russell’s wife Nicole is playing in the women’s program, and while his daughter (Hayley) plays netball, his two sons (Ewan and Wade) play in our juniors.

A dedicated mother of two teenage boys, she balances the demands of a thriving career in IT leadership with the joys of family life. Her older son (Jackson) expresses his creativity through a remarkable talent for art, while her younger son (Chase) channels his energy into his passion for baseball.
Having never played baseball herself, she has spent plenty of sunny and rainy days in her twenties watching her husband (Stan) play the game.
When she’s not solving complex IT challenges with GameChanger scoring not being one of them, she finds comfort in her family’s cozy moments at home with her blue staffy (Mookie) by her side. With a heart full of kindness and a knack for spreading cheer, Angela thrives on building connections and celebrating the growth in the game.
